So for Christmas I received a Thumblers Vibrating Tumbler

 I started with broken pieces of glass (from wine bottles, vinegar bottles, any kind of glass bottles) added them into the barrel – then added sand & rock salt & water – & let it roll for a very long time – over 2 weeks –  keeping an eye out for it. Just checked it & decided to clean every thing out just to see how it’s going – the edges of the glass are getting soft .

But I decided to try this time to use very little water – VERY little!! – so I rinsed everything out – added the glass back in, then some sand & then rock salt – if you watch the video shown here you see the action it is supposed to have. so that is now more what it looks like.

I’ll give it a couple of more days & see how that works – it’s a learning process you know 🙂 The thing is – the edges are getting soft – but they do not yet have that frosted look that sea glass has – we’ll see in time if I can get that effect.
